Privacy Policy for Garage Units

This Privacy Policy applies globally and is designed to comply with all major privacy regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable laws.

User-Generated Content

  • Conversion History: Units, values, categories, timestamps
  • Formula History: Automotive formulas used, inputs, results
  • Favorites: Saved tools/formulas (Premium only)

Subscription & Payment Data

  • Trial Status & Periods
  • Subscription Status (Active / expired / cancelled)
  • Plan Type (e.g., monthly)
  • Payment Provider (Google Play, Apple App Store, RevenueCat)
  • Billing Dates (start/end, renewal)
  • Payment References and Transaction IDs (no full card details)

We do not collect or access the following:

  • Signup source tracking

  • Contacts
  • Photo gallery

3) How We Use Your Data

  • Account Management: To provide, maintain, and improve the app
  • Subscription Processing: To manage premium features and billing

5) Data Retention & Deletion

  • Conversion & Formula History: Up to 20 recent entries are stored per user (if authenticated)
  • User Accounts: Deleted upon verified user request
  • Crash Reports: Managed automatically by Firebase
  • Ad Data: Retained per Google AdMob policies

6) User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access – View data stored about you
  • Correction – Edit account information
  • Deletion – Remove all account data via data deletion form
  • Portability – Export your history
  • Withdraw Consent – Change consent settings anytime in-app

7) How Account Deletion Works

We receive your request through the data deletion form.

Within 7 days, we will permanently delete your account and associated data from our systems, including:

  • Email address, name, and login credentials
  • Conversion and formula history
  • Saved preferences and settings
  • Device fingerprints, platform data
  • Subscription and billing metadata
  • Flags, login timestamps, and all identifiers

A confirmation email will be sent once deletion is completed.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

8) Children’s Privacy

GarageUnits is not intended for children under 16 (EU) or 13 (US).

If we become aware of such data being collected, we will delete it immediately upon notice.

9) International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States or other countries. We rely on secure cloud providers like Firebase and RevenueCat, with industry-standard safeguards in place.

10) Consent Management

  • Region-Specific Compliance: GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and others fully supported
  • Consent Mechanisms: Screened at app startup and in settings; can be changed any time
  • Consent Withdrawal: Effective immediately after change
