Account & Security

How do I update my account information?

Open Settings from your account menu. You can manage your profile details there at any time.

How do sign-in and authentication work?

BuildLockr uses Clerk for account authentication. If you are signed out, protected dashboard pages prompt you to sign in before continuing.

Builds & Garage

Where do I create a new build?

Use Create Build in the dashboard sidebar or open /dashboard/garage/create to start a new build draft.

Can I edit an existing build after saving?

Yes. Open your build from the garage and use the editor to update details, parts, and progress, then save your changes.

Is public garage setup available right now?

Not in this release. Public garage controls will return in a later version, so this dashboard update focuses on core build and sharing workflows.

Shared Builds

How do I share a build with someone?

Open a build and use the share flow to invite recipients by email. Shared users can open the tracker from Shared Builds in their dashboard.

Where can I find builds shared with me?

Open /dashboard/shared to see builds shared with you and your favorites, then select a build to open its tracker.

Will people get notified when I share a build?

Yes. The app creates a notification when sharing succeeds, and recipients can open the shared tracker from the notification route.

Maintenance & Notifications

What can I do in the Maintenance Calendar?

You can track reminders for your garage items and related builds, including due dates, mileage, priority, and completion status.

Where do I check all app notifications?

Open /dashboard/notifications to review your latest in-app notifications, including share and activity updates.

Membership & Billing

How do memberships and billing work?

Memberships are managed through Clerk Billing with Stripe processing. Open Settings > Membership to view plan options and billing controls.

Why might billing options not appear for me?

Billing UI can be disabled by environment configuration. If pricing controls are hidden, contact support for account-specific help.

Support & Product

How do I contact support or report a bug?

Use the Contact page in the dashboard support section to submit a ticket. You can use My Tickets to track all support and bug-report replies.

Where do I submit feature ideas?

Open /dashboard/feature-requests to submit and track product feature requests.
