1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and BuildLockr LLC ("BuildLockr," "we," "our," or "us") governing your use of our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BuildLockr provides software for documenting and organizing your vehicles and projects—including parts, costs, notes, photos, maintenance, and timelines—and optional features that let you share some of that information when you choose to. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without liability.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Not share accounts or transfer account access without authorization

3.2 Account types

We may offer different access levels (for example, free and paid tiers). What each tier includes is shown in the application at the time you subscribe or upgrade. Administrative accounts are used only for operating and safeguarding the Service.

4. Your content and intellectual property

4.1 Your uploads and account data

You retain ownership of your original content. By posting or uploading content, you grant BuildLockr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical formatting, display, perform, and distribute that content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Service.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You may not upload content that:

• Violates any laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material
• Promotes illegal activities
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Is misleading or fraudulent
• Includes malicious or deceptive external links (e.g., phishing, malware, or impersonation)
• Provides instructions intended to defeat vehicle safety or emissions compliance

4.3 External links

You may save links in your build records (for example, to a manufacturer page, forum thread, or retailer). Third-party sites are not under BuildLockr’s control, and we do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any third-party site, product, service, or content. You follow external links at your own risk.

You agree that you will not post links that are harmful, deceptive, fraudulent, or intended to mislead others (including through redirects, obfuscation, or impersonation). You represent that links you add are lawful and do not violate the rights of others.

4.4 Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to review, remove, restrict, or refuse content and accounts at our discretion to protect users, BuildLockr, and the Service.

We may remove or disable external links, restrict visibility of content, or suspend accounts in response to reports, suspected abuse, security concerns, or legal risk. We may also apply automated validation to links (for example, blocking unsafe URL schemes or private-network targets).

5. Fees, billing, and payment processing

5.1 Payment processing

If you purchase a paid plan or add-on, payments are processed by third-party providers (for example, Stripe). You authorize the applicable processor to charge your selected payment method for all amounts due under the plan you select.

5.2 Pricing and taxes

Current prices are shown in the application before you confirm payment. Fees may change with reasonable notice as described on the payment screen or in account settings. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and governmental charges unless explicitly stated otherwise.

5.3 Refunds and cancellation

Unless required by applicable law, subscription and recurring fees are generally non-refundable for periods already billed. Cancellation stops future renewals; access typically continues until the end of the current billing period. Any exceptions are described when you subscribe, in your billing settings, or in a separate refund policy.

6. Your build records and conduct

You are responsible for the information you enter and share through the Service. You agree to:

• Keep your build and part data truthful to the best of your knowledge
• Not use the Service to mislead others about vehicle condition, modifications, or compliance when you make information visible to them
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Only upload photos, documents, and text you have the right to use and share as you configure visibility in the application
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others
• Understand that BuildLockr is a tracker and organizer—not a shop, installer, or guarantor of fitment, safety, or legality for your vehicle

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
• To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• To submit false or misleading information
• To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code
• To spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
• For any obscene or immoral purpose
• To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service
• To reverse engineer, copy, or build competing services from the Service

8. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that your records will be error-free or complete, or that the Service will meet every use case you imagine.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildLockr and its officers, employees, affiliates, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildLockr's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid to BuildLockr in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.

9.3 Safety disclaimer

Information you store or view in BuildLockr (including notes, photos, links, and shared views) is for your own documentation and convenience. It is not engineering, legal, or safety advice. You are solely responsible for how you work on your vehicle, for compliance with laws and inspections, and for any damage or injury that results from vehicle work or from relying on information in the Service.

9.4 Free Interactive Calculators & Tools

BuildLockr provides various free interactive calculators, formulas, alignment target estimates, and unit conversion tools ("Calculators"). All outputs and estimations generated by these Calculators are for simulation, reference, and educational purposes only.

Due to the complexity of automotive physics, component tolerances, real-world friction, and environmental variables, the results provided by these Calculators may contain mathematical or practical discrepancies and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or reliable for your specific application.

Independent Verification Required: You must always double-check and independently verify any alignment setup targets, flow rates, capacities, or mechanical limits using official factory service documentation, professional workshop manuals, or qualified technician support before implementing physical vehicle modifications or tuning adjustments.

Hold Harmless Agreement: By using these free Calculators, you explicitly agree to hold BuildLockr, its founders, developers, and affiliates completely harmless from any mechanical failures, component damage, engine damage, personal injury, financial loss, or legal liabilities arising directly or indirectly from your reliance upon, use of, or misuse of the results provided by these tools. All modifications are undertaken at your sole risk.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BuildLockr, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including suspected violations of these Terms, legal risk, or security concerns.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not subject to arbitration must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. DMCA / IP Claims

If you believe content on the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, send notice to buildlockr@gmail.com with sufficient detail to identify the material and your claimed rights. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers.
